We are seeking a mid-level WordPress developer with experience in PHP and proficiency in working with the WordPress Gutenberg builder. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining custom WordPress themes and plugins, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the overall stability and performance of WordPress websites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with designers and other developers to create custom WordPress themes and plugins that meet client requirements.
  • Develop responsive and cross-browser compatible front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code for WordPress.
  • Work with the WordPress Gutenberg builder to create custom blocks and templates.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to WordPress websites and plugins, including debugging and testing.
  • Optimize website performance and ensure website speed and security.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress development trends, best practices, and technologies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure project timelines and goals are met.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a WordPress developer with expertise in PHP.
  • Proficiency in developing custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Experience with WordPress Gutenberg builder and creating custom blocks and templates.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Understanding of website optimization techniques and website security best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices.
  • Knowledge of CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
